INTRODUCTION OF DEPARTMENT OF AL-QURAN AND AL-HADITH-APIUM

Department of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith offers learning and expertise in the field of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith at the level of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. For Undergraduate level, currently, there are 2 degrees namely Bachelor of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith (as a new bachelor programme) and Bachelor of Usuluddin (Al-Quran and Al-Hadith). For Postgraduate level, the Department offers various fields of research regarding Al-Quran and Al-Hadith. There are 13 lecturers as well as experts of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith that are ready to be supervisors for both Master and Doctorate programmes. The lecturers of the Department have a vast experience in supervising local and international postgraduate students. For MA programme, there are 2 modes of learning i.e “research” and “coursework and research”. A new MA programme i.e mode of fully coursework is going to be embarked in 2024 to serve the need of higher learning in the field of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith. For Doctorate level, the Department offers experienced supervisors and experts of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith for PhD candidates in 3 languages i.e Malay, Arabic and English. For disseminating and impacting the output of researches in Al-Quran and Al-Hadith, the Department owns Al-Bayan Journal of Qur’an and Hadith Studies of which indexed in Web of Science-Clarivate Analytics and Scopus. Al-Bayan Journal is publishing by an international reputable publisher i.e Brill Publishers since 2011.
