  * To qualify for the degree a student has to complete between 102 to 149 credit hours
   
Entry Requirement
 
  • The minimum entry requirement is the National Higher School Certificate (or an A Level equivalent).
  • A pass in Advance Arab in the National School Certificate (or an O Level equivalent).
  • A pass in Syariah /  Usuluddin in the National Higher School Certificate (or an A Level equivalent).

      Application form is available at the International Student Centre of the University of Malaya or you can download from our
    website :  www.um.edu.my
       
      Application Procedure
     
  • Two (2) sets of Application Form
  • Two (2) recent passport size photos
  • Two (2) certified copies of academic certificates with derailed academic transcript or records. 
    Official translation is needed for applicants whose native language is not English or Malay.
  • A processing fee of USD50, made payable by telegraphic transfer to:

  • A copy of the above transfer slip
  • A financial statement showing financial capability from a bank or equivalent institution for self-financing students;

     Accommodation
     

    There are eleven residential colleges located within the University and two outside the University.  These colleges are equipped with cafeteria,
    photocopy shops and sundry shops, sport facilities, meeting and project rooms, computer and printing facilities.Water and electricity
    is included in the rental.

    Residential college fees (triple sharing) per semester (20 weeks) inclusive of three meals per day – RM2100 (USD590)
    Residential college fees (triple sharing) per semester (20 weeks) without meals – RM1400 (USD400)
    Rental for private accommodation within 5 km from the University campus are as follows:   

    Rooms:                RM650-RM750 (USD180-210) a month (sharing a flat with others)

    Apartment:          RM1300-RM1700 (USD360-USD470) a month

    Living expenses: 
    The daily expenses depend on the needs and lifestyle of students.  An estimated cost for a single student for
    accommodation, food, books, clothes, entertainment, local travel and other expenses is approximately  RM700-RM1000
    (USD200-USD280).
