By 1996, The Academy of Islamic Studies has formed out 9 departments, including The Department of Aqidah and Islamic Thought. This particular department offers Bachelor of Usuluddin, Master of Usuluddin, and Doctorate in Usuluddin for Aqidah and Islamic Thought. The department had also offered Bachelor of Usuluddin for Physics and ‘Alam Hayat’ from 2002/2003 until 2006/2007 resulting from the partnership with The Science Faculty of Science,University of Malaya

Al-Salam ‘alaykum and peace to all. 

Praise be to Allah and gratitude to Him the Almighty, for with His pleasure that can be published this official website of the Department of ‘Aqidah and Islamic Thought. On this occasion, I would like to express my appreciation and thanks to the Academy of Islamic Studies for successfully creating this website. Accordingly, it is hoped that with the formation of this website,information and news of the Department and its activities, as well as would be systematically and widely circulated, communicating with its client more effectively. The Department of ‘Aqidah and Islamic Thought was established to teach and conduct research on the development of Islamic creed, spirituality and leadership so that the students would be ethical and skilful persons fitting their status as scholars and intellectuals. 

I hope this website would be a reference to all. Comments and suggestions are welcomed in improving this website to make it more “people friendly.” Finally, I would like to record my acknowledgement to all parties involved in creating this website.
